Take part in the collection and help the people under the care of Mierz Wysoko Association! We invite you on May 11th.

Cycling season is in full swing! Have you looked through your bicycle equipment and are wondering what to do with old, unused parts and two wheels? Don’t throw them away! Take part in the collection organized together with Mierz Wysoko Association.

YOU DONATE A BIKE – YOU HELP CHILDREN

On Saturday, May 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., we invite you to collect old bicycles and parts in front of our Shopping Centre! The collected equipment will go to Mierz Wysoko Association. The organization supports children and young people in their development and shows them how to help others.

You can bring to the bicycle collection point:

  • new and used bicycles of any size and condition,
  • bicycle parts, frames, wheels,
  • bicycle accessories – including helmets, lights, fasteners
  • tools useful for repairing bicycles.

HOW WILL THE COLLECTED EQUIPMENT HELP CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE?

The equipment collected during the collection will go to the Open Bicycle Workshop run by Mierz Wysoko Association. Here, under the supervision of the Association’s volunteers, young people learn how to tinker, repair equipment and create their own vehicles.

As part of the “Bicycle for Good” program, the association’s beneficiaries have a chance to receive a bicycle in exchange for caring and helping others. The requirement is to participate in at least ten activities for others, such as, among others: walking dogs from the shelter, cleaning the neighbourhood or renovating bicycles for those in need. Young people are also encouraged to volunteer in various organizations.

USE THE MOBILE BIKE SERVICE

Mierz Wysoko Association, in exchange for donated equipment and hearts, will provide a free mobile bicycle service during the event. In front of our Shopping Centre, you will be able to have your vehicle inspected and make minor repairs, such as adjusting brakes and gears, lubricating the chain, or learning how to replace a punctured inner tube and patch it. The mobile bicycle service will be open during the collection.
