Add to my agenda

Cycling season is in full swing! The bike has served you for many months and you want to replace it with a new one, or maybe you are wondering what to do with old, unused parts? Take part in the collection, which we organize together with the Mierz Wysoko Association.

YOU GIVE A BIKE – YOU HELP KIDS

On Saturday, September 16th, from 10.00 to 17.00, we invite you to participate in the collection of old bicycles and parts. We are waiting at a special point in the parking lot of the Shopping Centre. The collected equipment will go to the Mierz Wysoko Association. The organization supports children and youth in their development and shows them how to help others.
You can bring to the bike collection point:

  •      new and used bicycles of any size and condition,
  •      bicycle parts, frames, wheels,
  •      bicycle accessories – e.g. helmets, lights, fasteners
  •      tools useful for repairing bicycles.

HOW COLLECTED EQUIPMENT WILL HELP CHILDREN AND YOUTH?

The equipment collected during the collection will go to the Open Bicycle Workshop run by the Mierz Wysoko Association. In this place, young people, under the supervision of the Association’s volunteers, learn to tinker, repair equipment and create their own vehicles.

As part of the “Bike for Good” program, the association’s charges have a chance to receive a bicycle in exchange for caring and helping others. The requirement is participation in a minimum of ten activities for others, such as walking dogs from the shelter, cleaning the area or repairing bicycles for those in need. Young people are also encouraged to volunteer in various organisations.

USE THE MOBILE BICYCLE SERVICE

Mierz Wysoko Association, in exchange for the equipment donated and the heart shown, will run a free mobile bicycle service during the event. In front of our Shopping Centre you will be able to take advantage of the vehicle inspection and minor repairs, such as adjusting the brakes, derailleurs, lubricating the chain or learning how to replace a punctured inner tube and patch it. Mobile bike service will be open during the collection.

We invite you to participate!
