Give your old bike to children in need!
from 28.09 to 28.09
Bring your unused or broken bike equipment to our Shopping Centre on Saturday, September 28th. We invite you to take part in the fundraiser of old bikes and bike parts, which will support the beneficiaries of the Mierz Wysoko Association. During the campaign, you will also be able to use the services of a free bike repair shop.
From 10:00 to 17:00, you can bring new and used bikes of any size and condition to the collection point, and even bike parts such as frames, wheels, accessories such as helmets, lights, locks, tools useful for repairing bikes. This seemingly unnecessary equipment will help children!
The equipment collected during the collection will go to the Open Bike Workshop run by Mierz Wysoko Association. This is where young people, under the supervision of the Association’s volunteers, learn how to DIY, repair equipment and create their own vehicles
As part of the “Bike for Good” program, the charges of Mierz Wysoko Association have a chance to receive a bike in exchange for caring and helping others. The requirement is to participate in at least 10 activities for others, such as walking dogs from a shelter, cleaning the area or repairing bikes for those in need. Young people are also encouraged to volunteer in various organizations.
Mierz Wysoko Association, in exchange for donated equipment and a heart shown, will run a free mobile bike service during our event. You will be able to use the bike inspection and minor repairs, such as brake and derailleur adjustment, chain lubrication or learning how to replace a flat inner tube and patch it. The mobile bike service will be open during the collection.
The collection of bikes and bike parts will take place on September 28th from 10:00 to 17:00 in our parking lot!
